The homeowners wanted to transform a historic 1930s expanded bungalow in Arlington’s Clarendon neighborhood from a series of disjointed, "chopped up" renovations into a cohesive family home by opening up carved-out spaces to create an intuitive, logical flow and direct line of site from the entryway into the family room at the rear of the home. The floor plan was reimagined to accommodate both the high-traffic demands of a young family and the refined requirements of hosting large gatherings of family and friends. Verdant greens in upholstery fabrics, custom window treatments, and whimscal wallpapers tie the main level together, while soft blues and nuetral hues create more private areas for work or relaxation in the office and primary suite.
