Simplifying and updating the main floor of this 2000s colonial was key to giving this project the classic, coastal, and serene home our clients were seeking.  While the layout worked, the dated and ornate molding and cabinetry overwhlemed the spaces.  We designed a calm and cohesive main floor that this family could use for entertaining friends or quietly reading.  We updated the ornate and dated kitchen, simplified the moldings, and added small pops of color throughout.  Custom cabinetry in the mudroom helped to corral coats, backpacks, and shoes for this busy family with four kids.
